All paperback preorders, along with all Revised Edition preorders, have been canceled.

All preorder buyers are eligible for a full refund regardless of time of purchase. However, due to reduced business operability & company resources, the refunds cannot be fulfilled instantaneously.  The process will be slow, and we are unable to set a specific deadline.  Fill out this form to enter the refund queue.

We know this is insufficient, and that we shouldn't have let it get this far. It's our fault for being too stubborn to call it quits when we should have. Our sincere apologies. We intend to get everyone a refund in due course, as it's what we owe to all the people who supported & believed in us.

The Age of Scorpius is author Milo Winter's debut YA fantasy novel - and it blew up beyond our wildest dreams, selling over 5,000 copies on pre-order.

In the mayhem of suddenly establishing a business & fulfilling thousands of orders, Milo did not give the final stages of editing on the book the undivided attention and energy they should have had. The book went out with far too many errors and unedited prose for a release of its size. That's on us. Shortly after the crash, we announced a plan to revise the entire book, hiring on a new editor into the studio & utilizing a unique collaborative revision process to give The Age of Scorpius and its readers the release it deserved.  However, despite a good beginning, this project became plagued with delays and difficulties.  Ultimately, with heavy hearts, we decided to cancel this project in February 2026.

Gardian may return some time in the future, but what form that will take isn't clear to any of us.  For now, the author is stepping back and pursuing a different path away from the public eye.

We are happy to honor refund requests initiated within 90 days of delivery for physical products. Note that the products must be returned to us in original condition, unless the product arrived to you damaged. Unfortunately, we are unable to cover the cost of return shipping. Digital products are not eligible for refunds.
